Baptist Churches in India

A comprehensive directory and resource hub for Baptist churches across India — connecting congregations from Telangana to Nagaland, strengthening the body of Christ through fellowship, sound doctrine, and expository Bible teaching.

The Baptist Movement in India

Baptist churches have a rich heritage in India dating back to the early 19th century, when missionary pioneers brought the Gospel to Indian shores. Today, Baptist congregations span the length and breadth of the nation — from the bustling cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to the hills of Nagaland and Mizoram, where Baptist Christianity has become deeply woven into the cultural fabric.

The Good News 360 Church Leaders Conference serves as a unifying gathering for Baptist pastors, missionaries, and church leaders across India. Our mission is to strengthen local churches through expository Bible teaching, leadership development, and meaningful fellowship — equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

India is home to one of the world's largest Baptist populations. Nagaland, Mizoram, and Manipur in North East India have particularly strong Baptist communities, with the Nagaland Baptist Church Council representing over 1,600 churches. In South India, Telugu Baptist churches have been faithfully serving communities for generations.
